Swansea Council
Swansea Council has commissioned a consultant team to create a Placemaking Plan for Swansea City Centre, to identify its strengths and weaknesses, understand what makes Swansea unique and how it can build on that.
Welsh Government
This commission has been established within the context of the Transforming Towns Placemaking Grant Framework of Interventions (revised May 2022) which sets out the need for towns and cities to have strategic plans in place to ensure that initiatives are part of a holistic plan. The framework highlights the opportunity for engagement and the need to involve key stakeholders and the community.
